Hopi Guild Sterling Overlay Buttons (2 Cards) & Sterling Conchos Lot
Vintage Hopi silverwork lot with original display cards and leather strap pieces. Two Hopi Arts & Crafts / Silvercraft Cooperative Guild cards (Second Mesa, AZ) each hold six sterling overlay shank buttons featuring classic Hopi motifs (cut-out overlay on oxidized ground). The buttons show the Guild sun hallmark and several artist pictographs (incl. a full deer figure). One card is marked “Mark Lomayestewa.” Included is a dark-brown leather strap with five hand-tied sterling conchos (domed, stamped) plus two additional leather pieces with laces. All non-leather components test sterling. Beautiful, honest patina—left unpolished.
